Dear Friends, I am happy to post that it appears the cancer stayed stable the past 4 weeks. My tumor markers did not go up :-) I know that doesnt' absolutely mean none of tumors grew but it does mean that it is not making microscopic cancer cells. I had Gemzar yesterday and started back on the Nexavar this morning, the dosage was decreased to 1/2 dose and every other day instead of daily, but I am hopeful this will be enough to continue to make a difference.

Anyway ~ I may not get to Dance with NED or NERD but Stable will do just fine ~ at least for now.

Hugs ♥ Prayers to all. Bonnie aka Chick That Sticks (couldn't resist) LOL

Dear Bonnie,

I gotta agree that stable is WAAAY better than "progressing"(yech!):( Stable can last for a long time. I hope you stay stable or get to NED. Either one gives this damn disease what for. Teal Warriors Rule!

Keeping on keeping on,
Edwina

What wonderful news for a gloomy, rainy day here in Michigan. Goes to show you that the Lord has hidden miracles no matter how bleak it may look. Thanks for sharing. Sending a huge HUG!!!

Hi Bonnie,

That's great news! I'm glad that something is working for you! What a great Valentine's present! On the weather front, did you get the ice storm this week too?

Oh Bonnie that is good news. My turn on Drip Etoposide next week hopefully I will have the same good news. You make me feel better knowing yours is starting to turn for the better too. Ya know we could be talking in the next 30 years how we beat this?! Or how we figured out the cure. May your count and tumors go down and someday maybe we will all meet and have a picnic. God Bless your Strength and courage.
Prayers and hugs to you all
Sandy

✌ That is great news. I will be praying that the reduced dose is much much easier on your body and keeps you stable. That is be best we've heard for awhile out of you, Chick. We know that you did a high five with that news and we do too!!! Happy Valentines Day!

Hugs and prayers answered, ♡ Saundra

Hi Everyone ♥ I should have said steady maybe and not stable. I jumped to the better word, I do still have lots of cancer BUT the ca125 stayed steady this past month. I guess we won't know what it is doing for sure until I get a ct scan in a couple months. ☺

I am definitely doing the Praise Dance with yuo all. Yuo know I don't think about what I am writing most times ~just get so excited ~ about tumor markers not moving & start dancing. :-)

I got pretty sick from chemo, which surprised me, and still not feeling the best yet today. However having gone through this many times, like most of you, it passes.

Hugs Bonnie

I had to blink when I saw the year. Wow, some of you are truly long- term survivors. I'm encouraged!

seeing old and dear friends who are no longer with us. I miss them every day and will never be able to say how much they helped me when I was a newbie to this board. I truely doubt that I would have ever had the strenght to fight as hard and long without their mentoring. I only hope that I can be there for someone else and make even a partial difference the way they did for me. I carry you in my heart everyday, dear ones.

to all that! Even though these are old posts, I take comfort today in words that Bonnie, Saundra and Linda have shared. You are right, Val, I'm sure they are watching over us,
