It is with the greatest sadness that Angela lost her 15 month battle with Ovarian Cancer early this morning aged 35.

She passed away on the 10th February at 5am at the Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Cape Town in relative comfort and piece with me by her side. She will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her.

We just all need fight this terrible desease together. Please if you have any questions about alternative treatments that we have found or tried over the last few months let me know if you need any other details, they did not help Angela but they might help somebody else and that is all I want so that nobody else should have to hold their wivies, lovers, daughters hand while they take there last breathe.
Jeremy, her husband.

I am so sorry that you had to post this sad news. I am sure that it was a comfort to Angela to have such a caring husband at her side to the end. Many times we don't focus enough on the "caregivers" pain.

Thank you for caring enough to let us know.

    DEAREST JEREMY
Nothing can take away the pain you must be in right now. But I hope it helps to know that I will be praying for your strength during this difficult time. I've been so inspired by your and Angela's testimony, and the way in which both of you have handled this journey with strength and love for eachother. What a blessing for her to have had you at her side, supporting her, loving her. What a blessing for you that you were able to share good years with Angela, and the knowledge and growth you will gain from this experience. Right now, these words must seem empty. But even in your post I already see that you are offering your experience to others to help them fight this disease.

My prayers to you and your family. May the Lord lift you up and bring you peace in knowing that Angela is now in perfect peace and perfect health. God Bless you, Jeremy.

    My sympathy and love
    Hello Jeremy,

I have thought of you and Angela so much, and have long been concerned that the news would not be good. My heart goes out to you! How grateful she must have been to have you at her side.

I held out so much hope for her because if my memory is correct she was caught at an early stage, right? It must have been a very agressive type.

I'm so glad that you are focusing on offering help to others in this battle against this horrific disease. Is there much ovarian cancer in your country? I think that approximately 23,000 women are diagnosed each year in this country.

I echo all of the comments above. It's only through hope, prayer and faith in God that any of us can emotionally survive the loss of someone so close and dear to us.

Please continue to check in on this site and let us know how you are doing. We all care so much for you too! With prayer and love, MM
