    Two?
Are these two different kinds of cells? I have a friend with endometrial and the treatment has been the same as mine (ovarian). Sometimes ovarian spreads to the endometrium. Mine is Stage IV and spread all over, but all the same kind of cells. Don't know about 2 primary sources... Saundra

    They believe two primaries
    Hello.
Thank you for writing. My Doctor believes that I had two primaries because I was originally diagnoseed with Endometrial cancer and she discovered the ovarian during surgery. (the cancer had also spread to my omentum as well as lymphnode) When the pathology report came back - they said the endometrial tumor had been a grade 2 type of cancer, while the ovarian was grade 3 and very aggressive. They also told me that 2 primaries are not common but they have seen them before. - Tricia

    grades
    Tricia,

I know so little about grades, types, etc. I do remember my cancer was grade 2 frozen and grade 3 I guess not frozen. And I gathered grade 3 is not so good.

But isn't it wonderful we have our hope in Jesus and not in man.

    Have a great day.

Yes, it wonderful to have hope in Jesus...
.....Not in man . As you said. If it were not for the peace that Jesus gives I know this road would have been too difficult to walk down! I thank God every day that I don't have to go through this alone but I know that He is always with me. Thank you for your "faith provoking" words :)
    God Bless You.

    2 primary cancers

I was recently diognosed with Ovarian 1 C G, and uterin endometrial 1 a, very fortunate that it's early but I still have to go through all the hoops and being tested for the third gene. They said it was very unusual.

    Me, too.

After my surgery for stage 3c ovarian cancer, the pathology indicated a second, unrelated stage 1cancer in the uterus.  That was entirely taken care of with the hysterectomy, and all of my treatments have focused on the ovarian.  It has been three years.

Interestingly, about five years ago, I had a tiny skin cancer on my nose.  That pathology came back with basal AND squamous cell cancers.  I was told that was a bit unusual.

There are many women on this board who have had breast and ovarian

    Lpack,

I recently learned what it means to have a frozen sample. Sometimes , the surgeon will send a frozen sample to the pathology dept for immediate evaluation . This method is not as effective or thorough as a sample prepared in paraffin which takes days to assess. Grade 3 is an aggressive cancer. I was diagnosed with a grade 3 uterine cancer. It has been a year since my chemo ended and I am still NED. I don 't take my life for granted and I thank God everyday I wake up and greet another day.

    Warm Wishes,

    Cathy
