Ovarian cancer affects 1 in 55 women. Unfortunately, 75% to 80% are diagnosed in advanced stages greatly limiting life expectancy. This statistic has not changed in 20 years. This statistic can be changed through education and information to women and physicians about the risks and subtle symptoms of ovarian cancer.
Advocacy and education of women and health care providers to promote awareness of symptoms, increase early detection and improve treatment methods. Provide support and networking for all those affected by this disease. Provide marketing, promotion and fundraisers to sustain our efforts and contribute to the ongoing research for a cure. Coordinate a speaker's bureau for community and local education.
Communications and coordination of local, state and national efforts to fight ovarian cancer.
