I am invasive intraductal, Stage I, ER positive, did not spread to lymph nodes. I am into being proactive, even though it appears my cancer did not spread. I am considering being in a clinical trial for Zometa, a drug that looks promising in terms of preventing recurrence for early stage survivors. Has anyone heard of this clinical trial, and what do think about participating in it? I have to decide soon, because there is a cut-off date. Also, there is a question of whether or not insurance will cover some of the costs? What has been your experience with insurance paying for clinical trials? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Ohilly

Hi just wanted to let you know I am on this drug and take it by infusion once a month. I have inflammatory breast cancer stage 4 because it is in my hip bones and pelvis. When you take this drug one of the side effects is aching bones just like you are getting the flu other then that I have not experienced any more side effects. Talk this over with you doctor and see what they think you should do. My insurance company had no problems in covering this drug what ever you do please let me know how it is working for you. Will be thinking of you.

I know you have questions about hair growth this is my second round of cancer and the first time it took awhile for it to come back. But found out yesterday at my office visit my hair will probably never come back because I will be on some sort of chemo for the rest of my life. I am now 62 this is something to look forward in doing. So please do not worry about it coming back because when it does it will be beautiful. Will say prayers for you and hope this has helped you.

hugs and love,

terry i
