two years...

edited March 2014 in Colorectal Cancer #1
I received my diagnosis of stage four colorectal cancer two years ago today. And after thirteen rounds of folfox, radiation, surgery and a vaccine/immunotherapy clinical trial I have been NED for over a year. I have since passed the CA bar exam, started an amazing job, moved back out on my own, and am extremely happy.
So I guess I am posting to celebrate the two year mark (after being told I had two years to live!) and to offer hope to those recently diagnosed.

Wow! that is great news. Congratulations. Can you tell us a little bit more about the vaccine trial you did. That sounds very promising.
Glad to hear things are looking up for you. It gets better and better the farther out that you get.
    Take care,

I'm dancin' for you, my dear!!!

I, too, remember when I reached that magic mark of 'when I was to end my life'....and then, the following day, had my first chemo for the second cancer...

Now, 2 years later, I am cancer free and lovin' life!

    Hugs, Kathi

Congrats! I know how it feels...I am two years last weekend...no NED, but still hopeful. Those years surely go by fast. How wonderful that you passed the bar exam..what a wonderful accomplishment! I, too, would like to know more about the trial you participated in.
