long term late effects

Hi, i was wondering if anyone else has had any problems with their teeth due to the amount of time that they were on prednisone? If so what kind of problems are u having or did u have? |

The easiest way to locate other members with similar experiences is to type keywords (such as "prednisone," "long-term side effects of leukemia," etc.) on the search bar at the top of the home page. You can refine your search by clicking on the different categories of content listed below the list of keyword matches that you get from your search. The major categories of content on CSN are discussion boards, personal web pages, etc. For example, if you are looking for a personal web page, you can limit your search to personal web pages only by clicking on the "personal web pages" category. Remember that you must be logged in if you want to post anything on a discussion boards, view personal web pages, use the chat room, etc.

what kind of problems? I remember I used to have a problem with one med which would cause my gums to swell like mad. If it's like that you should see if there's any way you can solve it.

I do have some teeth problems. I had all my baby teeth pulled when I was seven years they grew back and now I have loose teeth. I have permanent teeth and still have baby teeth as well. I get bad breath alot cause of the medicine I took.
I had leukemia from age 2-5 years of age. I had a bone marrow transplant when I was 5 and have been fine ever scince. Except my teeth :)

Yes. When I lost my baby teeth they came in crooked and enlarged. But I don't think it's all prednisone. I think the raditation had something to do with it too.
