My mom was just diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the esophagus and surgery dosen't seem to be an option. After an ultrasound of the esophagus showed node involvement and some other surrounding areas it was diagnosed stage 111. She has already had to battle ovarian cancer since 2003 with chemo and radiation she is now going to have to battle both. Has anyone out there had a similar situation with one type of cancer being treated while another is diagnosed? I would appreciate any reply!
