Just wanted to let you guys know that I've gone three whole days now without using my PEG tube! I am bound and determined to get it out! My goal is to go for three weeks without using it at all. Wish me luck!

i try to eat at least a half of a scrambled egg in the morning. some kind of soup and canned fruit around midday. small portions of salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and some kind of veggie for dinner. i supplement with an ensure in between each meal. does that sound like i'm making progress, bill? i can't eat anything dry.

Sounds like you are doing GREAT! Just be sure to push yourself a little everyday and you will be surprised what you can do!

That's great, especially since you don't like the PEG. Take one day at a time. I know you can do it!!

All the best,
TereB

Fantastic news and a real indication of your attitude which is key. I was very lucky. I was able to take everything by mouth and have the PEG out by about week 6 or 7 post treatments. For me, mashed potatoes, gravy, beef bullion, etc., were heavenly. First taste to return was salty. Congratulations and as TereB says, take it slowly but surely and you will do fine.
