Hi Everyone,
I'm worried about my upcomiing CT-Scan because the local hospital has a new updated CT-Scan. It's suppose to be much better at finding things.
I'm scared they will find something the other machine didn't. I know that is silly since I'd want them to find anything that is there, but I can't keep from feeling scared. Has any one had CT-Scans from the newer machines?

Either machine requires a radiologist to read the film. That is the weak link or strong one. (((Prayers and hugs for calmness))) Saundra

    Hi, McCarty:
I agree with Saundra. It's really only as efficient as the radiologist. When's your scan? Keep us informed. In the meantime, I'm sending prayers for peace and strength, AND a BIG HUG!

Hi Mccarty, I had the new CT-Scan and a PET scan pretty recently. I agree it is soooo nerve racking while you wait for the raidiologist to read your scans. It's not at all silly of you to feel this way, none of us wants bad news! It is something we as cancer patients have to endure, the torture of the waiting for results game. Know that you are not alone and that many of us are praying for you!

Thanks to all who replied. My CT-scan isn't until May, which gives me plenty of time to panic. I appreciate all the prayers, that's what got me through the chemo and all the tests, shots, etc. in the first place. I'm gratful for all the support. To make matters worse I recently learned that the Neuropathy in my hands is much worse than I originally thought. When my
hands get cold they throb and are quite painful.
I ask my regular doctor if the cold was making my Neuropathy worse and he said no, it was just making me more aware of it.
    Hugs and prayers to all.

I've recently learned that the Neuropathy in my hands has gotten worse. When my hands get cold they throb and are very painful. I called my regular doctor and he said the Neuropathy isn't getting worse, the cold weather just makes me more aware of it. But while I had thought it was limited to my finger tips,It is down to my second knucles. So to me it's worse.
