I just got home this morning and things went well with my first IV/IP treatment. I tolerated it well, although the bloating everywhere was not what I expected. Thought it would just be my abdomen. But they kept assuring me it was normal if I thought of how many fluids I had received I would realize that. It will take a few days to rebound. I am now on a anti-nausea regimen for the next few days along with some steroids so I'm hoping that will help and I don't end up being sick. To the girls that are having IP treatments - one of you had told me about the leakage after treatment so I addressed that at my visit yesterday and they used the surgical glue on my port site once the chemo was done being administered and it has worked great. Just an idea to keep in mind.

I did get the Neulasta shot and thought of Chris & Linda as they adminsitered it. I hope I don't have any side effects - but my doc's are thinking I will get the bone pain as I am already having the muscle/joint neuropathy stuff going on. I appreciate knowing it did help the white count stay up though - I'd really like to stay on schedule from here on out.

Thank you all so much for your prayers & support. I needed them. Hugs.

Kris

Glad your treatment went well, Kris. My doctor keeps me in pain pills in case of the muscle/joint pain not handled by Tylenol. I took them with the first chemos, but didn't need them later in treatment.
Keep your good attitude going and we'll keep you in prayer.

Kris I am happy to read you got your first treatment. I also get all the blood building shots and take tylenol. I run a low grade temp and have the bone pain too but it sure is worth it. May you continue to get stronger and stronger as the cancer cells become less and less. God's peace be with you.

    Prayers N Hugs Bonnie

Hi Kris. Here's hoping you feel okay the next few days as the IP treatment goes to work. I discussed the Neulasta shots with my wife last night, and she did not feel there were any "directed" effects except possibly some associate muscle soreness. Thinking of you and hoping the bloating goes down a bit and you can be comfortable. We know how important it is to go after this disease any way we can, and IP is considered an important step for many women. God Bless and good luck.
