I had a mild reaction for a few hours but it was stopped with the prednisone pak. That also seems to make my chemo go more smoothly also. Had good appetite and no nausea at all thru the week. Thanks ladies, for your support.

That's so good to hear? How many more treatments? Now you know what works for you and helps you through this. Take care, Saundra!

They want me to try for 10. I've had seven...four before surgery and three since. Depends on the blood rebound, of course and the allergy. I'm hoping for a ct scan soon as I have not had one since the surgery July 6th.

Saundra, thanks for the update, I am glad to hear they managed your allergic reactions. Have you had a ca125 lately or are they waiting to do a ct scan and ca125.

Bonnie, I get a CA-125 prior to each chemo treatment. Before surgery it was 35 from 2988 before the 4 chemo doses. After surgery the results were 30, 10 and 7. My oncologist doesn't expect that it will go any lower. I have not heard when the next ct scan will be. Have not had one since surgery. After I finish this round, I am supposed to have 12 months of low dose maintanence of one of the chemicals every 4 weeks.

    Saundra,

What maintenance chemical are you going to be taking. I am looking at doing maintenance and would appreciate in any info you have.

I hope you are doing well and that this is the magic time and NO more chemo, NO more high ca125

    hug and prayers

I don't know about which maintenance drug yet because of the allergy development. Will post it when I find out.
