FUND RAISING where do I start

I am currently tring to fund raise for my mom to get/start AVASTIN (very expensive)in my area (Canada) Nova Scotia, we did a couple of benefits... any other ideas on how to fund raise? what to do? to put on?

    You may want to contact Gentech. (See below) They offer free or reduced cost for patients in need. I am not sure if this is just an offering in the US or what, but it would be worth checking into.

Since 1990, Genentech has donated $700 million of free product to uninsured patients. In order to qualify for this program, there are certain requirements including income restrictions.

    I don't know if they do this for individuals, but it's worth a try....

    They put together 'blue ribbon' (colorectal cancer) 5k races...maybe they can help at least from a source for ideas...

    Just to give you some hope. Another canadian wrote the company and got it donated! Just know they at least have done it! Keep fighting and fund raising! jana
