Hi everybody!
I went to the emergency room on Thursday night with severe stomach cramps. It turned out I had a small bowel obstruction. Because it wasn't complete, I was in the hospital for 3 days; I was on IV fluids, then clear liquids, then soft foods. The pain has really been so much better. I also had a CT scan. I received not so good news. The cancer has spread (small deposits) to my right pelvic side. I am on oxaliplatin; obviously it is not working. I will be seeing my onc on Tuesday. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. We need to make some serious decisions about my future. Bless you all...Terri

    Dear Terri,

I am so sorry for this bad news. I will pray for you. Please do not give up the fight.

You might want to look into this alternative form of treatment called Protocel. I read about it in a book "Outsmart your cancer: alternative non-toxic treatments that work" by Tanya Harter Pierce. Protocel is a liquid that can be mixed with juice or water. It works by attacking anaerobic cells of the body, leaving normal healthy cells unharmed. All cancer cells are primarily anaerobic. Protocell attacks anaerobic cells by interfering with their cell respiration so they can not obtain enough enerby to function. Since normal health cells of the body are aerobic and use a different process ot obtain energy via cell respiration, they are not harmed.

You can look at www.protocel.com, www.elonnamckibben.com/
    www.outsmartyourcancer.com
    www.protocelforum.com

I called the phone number listed on the web site. They told me that the most potent formula runs at $150 per bottle and lasts 2 and a half month.

I thought that maybe you will find this information useful.

Please do let us know what next steps you are taking.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    God Bless, Eleonora

Oh, Terri....I used to say "Bunk!" when people would say "Things happen for a reason". After part of my colon cancer testing found breast cancer in an 11-year-old lump....well, I don't say it quite as loudly!
I am an 'old pro' at small bowel obstructions...just recently cleared my 6th since surgery (sigh...this only happens to 5% of the patients...aren't we lucky???).
Obviously, the treatment course needs to be adjusted...thank goodness you DID have the obstruction, or who knows how long it would have been! Maybe my old friend, 5FU?
I am sending big, strong, healing vibes!

    Hugs, Kathi

    Hi Terri,
I don't write too often but I just have to let you know how sorry I am they have found more cancer, but like Kathi M. said, Thank goodness they found it during the blockage. I also have had a recurrence 5 months after finishing FOLFOX with Oxaliplatin, had 3 blockages I had to be hospitalized for so I know how painful it is. Hopefully they will change your chemo (preventing permanent Neuropathy from the Oxi.) and find the right chemo regimen to work for you. Hang in there and God Bless. Kandy
