Thank you to everyone that has given me advice, encouragement, and their blessing. This is the first support group I have even discussed my situation with. I should be very grateful that I have beaten stage IV Inflammatory Breast Cancer because we all know that is the "Forbidden Beast". When I saw my oncologist last week he admitted to me that he did not think that a year later I would still be coming to his office, if you know what I mean. My case was so rare and inconclusive that I had to go before an Interdisciplinary committee 4 times. I went from being diagnosed with a fine needle aspiration, then FNA and core biopsies coming back as a breast infection, then going through all the testing again only to be officially diagnosed. I also had to go through skin biopsies, very painful, to see if it had spread to my skin. Since my mastectomy in April, I have had 3 additional surgeries because the incision would not heal and the tissue expander was exposed and an infection had set in. It has been a very long road and I am ready to get on the highway now!!Thank you to everyone. Please keep in touch.

Young, I am so glad to hear you are doing well. I too am a fellow IBC'er. Diagnosed in Oct. 2004. and too have been NED since 7/05. I am sorry to hear you had to go through so much to get diagnosed. This shows that not only Breast cancer can be beat, but also Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Bless you.
