"increase in size of multiple bilateral metastases".
What awful words. THe good news is that it wasn't a large increase. The largest one went from 12mm to 15 mm.

So...the nurse practioner said she thinks the best course for now is to take a break and let my body recoup. My onc is in germany til the end of aug. He will review things and hopefully have some suggestions when he returns, though i've gone through all the current recommended treatments. The NP will be looking into the possibility of any study drugs, but I'm not even sure i'm willing to try those.
I will be going the all natural route for now. I've talked to a naturopath before, but with the diarrhea and chemo I had difficulty taking many of the supplements she recommended. Now I can take them. ANd I'll be talking to someone she recommends about diet. This woman cured herself of incurable skin cancer. She's a nurse who went on to further study. I thought the naturopath would have some info about diet, but she doesn't have much. Emily sent me a list of her regimen. I'll be asking the naturopath about those. I'll start the juicing after the diarrhea is completely gone, which should be in just a few days.
The other good news is that at least i'll feel well. And my hair will start to grow back!!

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. I still need them though, so keep them coming!
Mary (keeping all of you in my prayers!)

    Mary,
You need to do what you feel is right. THAT is all of the battle with this beast. You MUST have COMPLETE faith in whatever treatment regime you follow, otherwise it does not have much of a chance of working.

How about pranic healing? I have done that for YEARS....made me feel better during chemo.....

Hugs to you, and prayers as well!

    Hi Mary,

Good luck and will keep you in my prayers. I'm not sure what pranic healing is but is probably close to what I do. I go get Reiki. Kanga turned me on to it. It does help. It has helped the numbness and helps with chemo reactions. It is also called "laying on of hands". They don't touch much but you get warm and tingly where they put their energy. Something to look into. My chemo clinic had someone do it for free for the patients. HUGS and keep up with the good health diet. An alkaline diet is good too. You can google on it and finds lots of info. Cancer (as Scouty keeps saying) doesn't like Alkaline.

    Mary,

I am sending more hugs your way. I know what a pain in the butt the diarrhea is. I hope that you and your onc and the naturopathic come up with a plan to help you.

    Keep in touch

    Hi Mary,

I am so sorry for your news but like your attitude and approach!!!!!!!! My naturopathic doctor also had a PhD in Clinical Nutrition so I got both covered with one appt. You can do it. Let me know if I can help you in any way. Mine regime was a full time job the first 4 hours of the day but so far, my results have been worth every second of the time.

I have you on my big time prayer list.
