Hi all,

Well, my girlfriend and I were planning to make a quick trip out to Vegas, but a dear friend of mine passed away from ovarian cancer. She was only 23 years old and fought the beast for 4 years. I met her almost 2 years ago and she was just a beautiful spirit... No other way to describe her. I am making plans to go out to Vancouver but if you want to leave a little message for her family or read her journal history and get to know a courageous girl you can visit her at

www.caringbridge.org/canada/margaret

I know she is at peace but I'm still missing her. She came out to visit me just last April and was doing so well. I love her to pieces and I know that heaven will be good to her.

I keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. I love hearing the good news (Emily!) and keep the fighters in my heart (Jana & goldfinch). My graduation is officially this Thursday so I'm going to get a picture up.

Be well my friends!

Andrea

    Andrea,

I am sorry to hear about your friend. It's always hard to let go of someone really meaningful in our lives. But I really believe that there was a reason you two met, and you learned something very special from her, and that is how to be a fighter. I'll bet she took a lesson or two from YOU as well!

I am so happy to hear about your graduation. You have worked so hard and are such a great person!

Congrats on your graduation, take care,

    Stacy

    (((((sweet baby girl))))))

So sorry about your buddy. News like that kinda takes the wind outta the sails, does it not? You wonder why some keep on and some are taken down waaaay too soon.

How does one so young get ovarian cancer? How does one so young get colon cancer? It makes one wonder at the powers that be what the environment is doing to usher in earlier than normal virulent cancers.

So honey, looking forward to seeing your Grad Photos! You are one awesome woman!!

    peace, emily

    Hey Andrea:
Nice to hear from you but so very sorry for the reason you posted. Thank you for bringing your friend's story and battle to us- wish things would have worked out differently for her....Hope you are well Andrea- my husband will hopefully start his fight against stage 1V (after 7 months of adjuvant then finding out it didn't work)- just trying to navigate the ridiculous Canadian medical system (Avastin has been approved but..it is not available!!!!) guess we will start the "normal way" then try for avastin at Provis Clinic in T.O when it arrives here...Keep well and can't wait to see your grad pics..Congratulations
