My aunt was just diagnosed back in decemebere and has been trying to cure her colon cancer by all natural means for the last 8 months and is running out of options. The cells have not grown any since but her diagnosis is squamous cell carcinoma/anal cancer. If anyone knows anything about any alternate means of cure, the colostomy surgery, or chemo. any kind of information would be very valuable to us. Also, if it is known to be able to regain control of bowels after the surgery? Thanks ~ i can be e-mailed at Jrb7237@aol.com ~ Have a blessed day

Hi, sorry to hear about your aunt's diagnosis. I am seeing a naturopath in addition to traditional doctors to perform surgery and chemotherapy. The naturpath that I am going to is at Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center. The center has naturpaths and traditional board-certified M.D.s working together. I could actually get my chemo there, but I just go there to see the naturopath. I hope your aunt has been able to get support and advice from a Naturopath.

I just started juicing and taking supplements. Hopefully one of the "experts" on here who use alternative means will reply with lots of great info about their experience and great results.

I am to have a partial colectomy and part of my rectum removed next month (as well as liver re-section). I am going to have a J-pouch created from part of my colon to act as a substitue rectum. I have been told that I will have more frequent bowel movements but that I will still have control.

    Best wishes to you both.

Very rare for colon cancer to be squamous cell, but very common for anal cancer. Funny, but they are two different things entirely. Check out the "anal cancer" discussion board at this site and/or go to cancer.org.
