For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies.
1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
CONCLUSION:
Eat and drink whatever you like. Apparently what kills you is speaking English.
Aspaysia, who likes to eat and drink everything AND speaks English.

Sorry, Aspaysia but I did not know that Americans spoke English!! Couldn't resist that one!

Seriously though, I wonder if it would not be better to just eat and drink everything we like, but in moderation? We hear about people who led an extremely healthy life....exercise, eating, low stress levels, etc and still got cancer.

Hey Ali, I learned to speak the Queen's English while growing up in Canada.
Nice to see your profile featured on the international front page along with Nanuk.
Excuse me, but I thought Alaska was a state. So why is Bud considered a foreigner?

Thanks for the chuckle and a hit of sanity. I agree with the idea of moderation as well as the importance of enjoying whatever you decide to eat.
