A friend gave me the web site of a "health newsletter." They mentioned a blood test to screen for a substance called anti-maliganan antibody (AMAS). The article said it was a foolproof way to see if you had any kind of cancer. I want to ask my oncologist about this at my next checkup but I was curious if anyone had heard of this. thank you,
arlo

My husband I have both had cancer and looked into the AMAS blood test. We are into healthy living, vegans, herbs, ND Dr etc. but most of the ND Drs do not feel this test is worth your money. Sure sounds good but if you have very advanced cancers it will miss it for some reason. A small skin cancer may be positive, cancer in treatment probably won't show up so not much to recommend it but a way for this company to make money. If positive you still have no idea where the cancer is so might as well go with the oncologist doing the CT and bones or listen to your body. Linda

    Hi Linda,
Thank you for the info. You hear about so many tests, and after studying this web site, I find it claims to have answers to many problems, if you buy the book, buy the produts, etc. I am going to stick to the tests my oncologist and breast surgeon advise, along with trying to lead a healthy lifestyle. I did take the MRI of my breast recently. That test used to have a lot of false positives, but now my breast surgeon thinks it will be useful to have it once a year. The results were normal. I appreciate your answer and I sincerely hope all goes well with you and your husband. regards,
