I've been reading posts, watching new ones come, old ones go (where is SpongeBob?).
It has been 5 months since my father started his chemo. You may remember DX Aug '04 stage 4 liver mets with a 9 month prognosis. Except for extreme fatigue, he has had no trouble with chemo. Still remains healthier than he was before the colon tumour was removed. Such a positive attitude that today the doc said I can't read you and don't know what to do. Can you really be tolerating it this well? Many tumours have shrunk significantly and others more slowly. Tumour marker is down and liver function tests still normal. It is one week passed the original prognosis. Docs now saying at least 6 - 20 mos more. I am so glad he went ahead with the chemo, though we all wondered if it was the right thing to do.
Always good to read your posts
