Chemo treatments..

It looks like I'll be having chemo again. My dr. is thinking about useing Cisplatin and Gemzar. Has anyone been on these for treatment?

I had to have a blood transfussion on fri (the 4th)Had to had 2 units. My blood count was down to 8.1. That has happened when I've been on chemo but I've been off chemo now sense the middle of oct. So I don't know what is going on here. I go back to dr on the 10th for lab work again and I'm sure he'll tell me what he wants to use this time for sure for chemo and when he wants to start it.

I have not had Cisplatin, but I just finished with a duo of Gemzar and Topotecan. I was on Carboplatin and Taxotere before then I got an anaphylactic reaction and they had to switch. I founf the Gemzar not to be as toxic
