Hello All, Heard about a new drug being developed that will cure cancer for good....if it works. It will not be available for human testing until next year. Go to Google and type in ONCOMAX. There is a lot of information about it there. Lets PRAY that this is not "pie in the sky".....Nan

I read some of the articles on Oncomax. I will be praying that their claims are proven true! It will be a wonderful day when that drug is available for us all!

    Hi nancys:

Many new cancer drugs come down the pike regularly. Many wilt on the vine by the time the animal testing phases are completed and other are discarded soon after human trials begin. Often they show promise initially but later, serious side effects are found or cell damage shows up, etc. which precludes the drug ever completing the trial stages.

I read about Oncomax recently and it does sound very promising indeed. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED THOUGH and thanks for sharing the info here.

Prediction from the 'eternal optimist' as Jean once said...this is a 'red herring' a bone to toss out to the masses to distract us.
    Why do I say that?
#1 They've given it a name already...not done for trial drugs they go by CPR101 or such initially.
#2 IF it's so effective in animal studies now why are they going to wait 2 years to start human studies...terminally ill patients are willing to participate even if risks are unknown.
#3 All press releases reported SAME statements, but no mention of where studies were being done.
Does anyone remenber Prime-1, rather promising drug 1oo% effective in killing tumor cells in 50% of trial studies. Meaning if tumor was sensitive to this substance it killed all of the tumor. The university where it was being studied lost funding because...I kid you not..."there was not enough media interest to generate the raising of funds to continue the research". Last time I checked the whole website had been shut down.
Maybe I'm wrong or maybe somebody will realize we've got to become more politcally active, because as it stands THEY can't afford to cure cancer!
