Immediate breast cancer reconstruction

help, I am looking for a surgeon who devotes a significant portion of his or her practice to immediate reconstruction practicing in Palm Beach County Florida.

    Have you inquired of your oncologist, or surgeon for this type of plastic surgeon? The local hospitals may be of some help and there should be a referral service that could help. You may try just calling a plastic surgeon in the phone book and asking if they know of a colleague who specializes in immediate reconstruction, but, I would think that there is a local cancer services system that can help you find one too. I knew my plastic surgeon personally for many years so I had a easy time picking, but, it would have been hard otherwise. Your surgeon that is going to perform the mastectomy should have someone in mind....

    I did some research on Becker implants when I was looking at options, and it turned out that Becker is Dr. Becker. I recall he is in Florida, but do not know exactly where. Do a web search on Becker implants. Hope this helps.

    Hello. You didn't indicate which type of reconstruction you're considering - implants, TRAM-flap, DIEP or other.

    In any case, your breast surgeon is probably a good source for a referral. You want to be sure that the surgeon you select is board-certified by the Amer. Soc. of Plastic Surgeons. They have a referral service at
