I have been Dx in May 2003 with this kind of brain tumor in my right frontal lobe. I have had surgery to remove it, but am taking temodar, PCV and then Radiation to remove any residue. My mind seems very foggy, and I am in need of anyone out there with this type to respond and make me understand what my future holds. Will my cognitive thinking be injured? Is this the way it is for the rest of my life? Growing back and more chemo over and over?

My husband was dxd in May of 2003 with Grade 4, Glioblastoma multiforme. He has done beautifully. Some short term memory loss, some mild cognitive issues, but considering the alternative, has done very well. All things considered, he is amazing the doctors, who at first, had many dire predictions. As to what the future holds, none of us know, nor do we chose to dwell on that, because if we start obsessing about what might be, we will miss the "what is", and with 2 kids, that is not an option we want to visit. His tumor was in his right temporal lobe, and the doctor has talked about possibilities if it does come back. Knowing what might happen is only helpful to us in that it helps us to appreciate what we have now..wish I could answer your question as to what the future holds...but I'm not sure anyone can. Doctors told us things (i.e.memory loss, cognitive processing) could improve, could stabilize, could get worse...just no way to know.
