For all the people who have been on this site for 2-3 years , I thought I'd share that Pam Triggs, whom we all know and love, passed away at 6:50 Feb. 14th New Zealand time. She was a very strong woman whom we all grew to admire and love. My thoughts and prayers are with John, her husband ,and family. She is no longer suffering and is at peace! HUGS!! Cathy

Thank you for sharing this info. She was the original "kick some cancer ****" lady, as most of us "CSN old timers" know.

She fought long and hard and may we find some small consolation in knowing that she is now free from suffering.

I've never known anyone with active disease who was more brave and positive yet continued to share so much of herself while encouraging others.
An inspiration for us all and I feel fortunate to have known someone of her character with so much courage and determination.

I join other's here in sending heartfelt sympathies to her family. She leaves behind the gift of a bright light which will continue to shine for her family, friends and loved one's.

Thanks Cathy for telling us even if it's sad news. I remember Pam when I first joined this group 3 years ago. In fact, I often thought about her and how come she wasn't posting. Now I know. Please tell her family we'll be praying for her and them. She'll be watching over us all now from Heaven. Hugs, Marie

Pam was one of the most amazing people I knew. In September when she sent some of us her news via email about the brain tumor, she said she must hurry and get more done for her son's wedding in November while she still had ENERGY (this after fighting cancer 3-4 years) She had radiation planned - did have it - announced that it would mess her hair up for the wedding but added in her indomitable way that she had a great hat which would take care of the hair situation! She did enjoy the wedding, John said, but then the oncologists said about a month or two was it. She even fooled them there and John said for awhile he was still able to take her for a drive in the countryside. No one had a better husband either who took a leave from work and gave her 24/7 hours until the last couple of weeks when he had to give in reluctantly and Pam went to the hospice setting. His health and stamina was giving out with the constant needs.

May a grand lady and such a good adviser and friend to us rest in peace.

Isn't it amazing that so many of here on the CSN loved and respected this, one of a kind lady, whom we never met in person. We knew her through her wisdom, her strength, and the ability to find humor in every situation. While she was frustrated and in pain, she still found time to share her experience and encouragement to all of us. We have all been blessed to have known her and I will remember her, always...Nancy Sims

I have done a search on 'Pam Triggs' many times on this site in hopes to find out how she was doing. She was such a thoughtful, caring person who shared her wisdom with us throughout her struggles. I am so very sorry to hear that she has passed but thankful that her suffering is over. My sympathy to her family and friends...

Thank you Cathy for letting us all know.

    Take care,

I wish I could make your pain disappear:

make your world right once more.

I wish I could say some magic word

to make you feel happy again.

I wish I could give you a rainbow

and make your tears go away.

I wish I could do so much more than just say:

I am your friend and I am here if you need me.

Thanks for letting us know Cathy. I have often wondered in the last few months how Pam was doing. She was the first person I remember from when I came to this site two years ago. I couldn't believe how upbeat she stayed with all she faced and like so many others, I got a lot of inspiration from her. Please pass my thoughts and prayers on to her family. Diane
