I see no one has responed to your message. I think you are talking about first line chemo?? I had a mixture of Taxol and Carboplatin for 9 treatments and then 12 Taxol treatments as an extra measure of security. They call it maintenance therapy. Wish I could help you more. Hope one of the others who read messages on this board can offer you better info.

I may not be much help, I'll be getting my 1st course on Jan 6th (combo carboplatin & Taxol). However, I have been doing some reading. The one bit of info that sticks out in my mind is that usually chemo is given in multple agents so that your body doesn't get used to one med and develop a kind of immunity to it. You may want to ask your doctor about this to either confirm or deny this. Also, ask why you are getting only one agent instead of a combination treatment. Hope you get the answers you need.
