MY HUSBAND STARTED TAKING THIS IN JAN.04. THE CLEVELAND CLINIC HAS HIM IN A CLINICAL TRIAL. HE HAD ESOPHUG. CANCER. OUR DR. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED IT. NO SIDE EFFECTS SO FAR. DRS. SAID IT SHOWS GREAT PROMISE FOR PREVENTING ANY CELLS THAT ESCAPED THE CHEMO. & RADIATION & SURG. FROM GROWING AND WANTS HIM ON IT THE REST OF HIS LIFE. GOOD LUCK TO YOU & GOD BLESS.

Make sure they keep a good eye on your husband. My father has been taking Iressa since Feb with no side effects until now. The Iressa has caused an irritation in one of his lungs causing him not to be able to get enough oxygen. He's been in the hospital on 100 percent oxygen for almost a week and it is not helping. They think they may have to put in a breathing tube. Iressa is so experimental that tehy do not know how to treat the irritation.
