Hi my name is Julie, I am a non hodgkins lymphoma survivor of 4 years. I am 32 years old and live in Columbus Ohio. My cancer was on my spinal cord, and I went through surgery, chemo, and radiation. Since I had cancer on my spinaL cord I losgt the use of my legs and had to go through alot of therapy to learn to walk again. I had to take alot of steroids so I developed a disease called AVN and had both hips replaced 2 years ago. I am doing very good now, and if anyone has any questions or needs a friend or just to talk I am here for anyone. My e-mail is Brrrknstock@Aol.com. Hope to hear from some of you!!

I really need to talk to someone. My husnabd Mike has NHL. The doctor has tried just about everything to get him to remission. He was in remissiooon for about 3 months than it came back with a vengence. Now I'm not sure what to do anymore. I feel like everything is starting to fall apart. I have my emotions in check, afraid if I give into them things will get out of control. I'm trying to get my BS degree, raise a granddaughter(she is 8) and run my house, take care of Mike and all the animals we have,I have very little time for me. My daughter has finally married someone that will take care of her and the little girl, but until they can get an apartment I have the little girl. I need to find homes for 2 dogs 5 geese 1 duck and about 5 cats. My daughter bought home the cats and left them for me to feed and care for, not that I have enough to do. I been thinking about giving up on my BS degree for a while, until I can get Mike better. He doesn't want to eat, all he wants to do is sleep and not much else. I'm a little bit scared for him, not for me as much because I have 7 brothers and 1 sister who will see to my needs if there are any. I sorry for carring on so. Mike's wife

Hi Julie. My name is Jennifer and I live in Birmingham, AL. I was diagnosed with NHL when I was 16; I am now 20 and have been in remission for 3 years now. I also had to take enormous amounts of steriods for treatment, and as a result, developed AVN of the hips about a year ago. My right hip is as bad as it's going to get, and doesn't bother me. However, my left hip is constantly hurting and is shorter in length b/c the hip socket has collapsed. I was just wondering how long it was before you had the hip replacement? I am young and have so much that I want to accomplish. So in a way, the surgury may help me do those things....but it's a huge decision at the same time. I just need some incite from someone who's been through it. The advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks so much!!
