need help researching affect of breast cancer on significant others

Am doing research on the effect on significant others when a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer.  Am particularly interested in hearing from survivors and their families who found cancer changed the family dynamics.  Any ideas of early support that would have helped?  Am preparing a workshop for area "young survivors" support group.
