Hi Laura,
Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear you are feeling so good. I have had unusual reactions to other chemo treatments-side effects not seen by my onocolgist before. He's at the Cleveland Clinic so you know he's seen quite a bit.
Let me know how your next scan is. I wish you well!
Sherry

Hello -- I just finished an 18 week of alimta and cisplatin - six treatments every 3 weeks. I did absolutely fine - every week after chemo was rough - very tired - and towards the end of treatment I had neuropathy in my hands and feet, but nothing I could not tolerate. I also just finished yesterday 8 weeks of radiation. I am feeling great. Good luck to you -

Being treated with Alimta for Stage 4 NSCLC

I am a 45 year old female who has been diagnosed with recurrent Stage 3 sarcoma and stage 4 NSCLC. I am now being treated with my third "chemo cocktail" of Alimta. My first treatment was Gemzar, Taxoter and Neulasta. After a severe reaction to the Gemzar my chemo was changed to Carboplatin, Taxoter an Neulasta. After 4 treatments with the Carboplatin/Taxoter my treatment has been changed to ALIMTA. I am 7 days into my first treatment of 4. My oncologist says it is well tolerated by most patients.
I would like to know if anyone else has been treated with Alimta and what their experience with it has been.
