 <title>Relapse MM - treated with velcade again?</title>
 <link>http://csn.cancer.org/node/161764</link>
 <description>&lt;p&gt;My Dad was diagnosed with myeloma two days after his 60th birthday in August 2005.The diagnoses absolutely devastated the whole family although we all stayed strong for each other.It amazing the strength you get when something like this happens.Dad was subsequently treated with radiation as he had a compressed spinal cord and treated with dex and thailidomide with a stem cell transplant to follow.Dad suffered severe neuropathy and after just a under a year in remisson he relapsed and began velcade followed by another stem cell transplant.Again he went into remission for just ove ra year efore he relapses.About 6 months ago he started revlimid and dex and since has suffered numerous infections and series drops in cell and hemoglobin.However he did go into remission again for 6 months.Dad recently was admitted to intensive care with renal failure(apparently not due to the myeloma but infection).It all happened so quick.&lt;/p&gt;
