Did anyone ever respond to you? I realize this advice is months too late, but I think you should absolutely tell them. As a survivor, you bring hope to those who are still fighting cancer. I had AML as a very young child, and I've found that being a healthy, well-adjusted survivor has represented to others the possibility of life after cancer. I think the parents of that little boy would love to think that their child can grow up healthy and contribute to the well-being of others the way that you are, preparing meals for families in need.

Hi, My name is Sandi. I am a hodgkins lymphoma survivor, and I have recently been asked to prepare a meal for a family whose one year old son is getting treatment. They travel a distance, so the dinner meal being made for them when they come home is helpful. I just wanted to know if there was something else I could do to help the family at this difficult time. I don't know if I should let them know of my cancer past or not. Please let me know what you think. Thanks. P.S. I also want you all to know you must be very strong and brave to get through the ordeal of your children dealing with this disease. All the best to all of you.
