Not sure how to word this

Today Hubby went for ct scan and doctor's vist.Doctor said his lungs sound good he looks good, his over all blood work was good a little highs and lows like white blood cell 3.9 normal 4.0-10 Platelet count 128 normal 150-450. Red Blood cell low 3.92 normal 4.50-5.90. Mean Corpuscular Volume high 102.1 normal 80-100.0
Got home the doctor called his tumors has grown, one in each lung. They are two clinical trials but his tumors are not big enough. They said they can try a different Chemo combo. But if he does that and does not work they would have to wait 28 days to flush the Chemo out of his system.the 3 mm nodules were stable till they stoped Chemo 3mm right lobe is now 4, 4 mm on left lobe 7mm.
We go back Feb 24 to talk to doctors need to know what to ask...
Greg's cancer is Larynx Stage 4 Squamous cell , metastic to lungs. Hope I said that right.
Ever a time not to feel so ignorant is now. But I am so very lost.
Please help , me understand what /how to know what is best for him...
Thank you

So sorry to hear your recent update. I was so happy after reading the first sentence, and then the bomb was dropped. Darn it! I am lost for words. Just know I am thinking of all of you and praying that you will get the treatment plan that you desire. One positive thing I can see is that the tumors are small? There is a light at the end of this tunnel, I promise you! Keep in touch.

    Thank you
    Sherri,
    Thank you
His Lungs are ok except for tumors, his weight is good, he eats and does things he is still active. He has no ports or pic lines . To look at him you would not know anything is wrong. Not sure if answering questions right.
They said Chemo with another drug ... Or wait till tumors are bigger to join Clinical trail.
They said his squanous cell was caused by HPV.
I thank you for this information, I will print it off and take it with me. So I can better know questions to ask.
Seams like I should be a pro at this but nope . Can't remember half this stuff.

    Good questions
In so many of these posts, I do not have a clue what to say in response. I think the encouragement to speak up even if you don't know what to say is so helpful. Also, these questions to ask are so important. I wouldn't have any idea what to ask. Everyone on this Board please keep up the good work. You are saving lives. Mary

Hi, When I first read your post, I didn't know How to answer. I haven't experienced the things your husband is going through. Thanks once again for your knowlegeable advice Sherri. I always had to have someone with me to take notes and make sure I didn't forget anything. Even now, someone goes with me for results of any test.
It is good to know he is still active. My thoughts and prayers are that he will stay this way ,while decisions are made for the best treatments.
