    Lymphadema
    Hi Beth,
There is a ton of information on this. Type in Lymphadema in your search and you will see a bunch of good sites...Mayo Clinic..Wikipedia etc. My aunt has it, caused from her breast cancer and treatments(radiation, chemo, and on-going cancer pills, etc) She controls it with therapy..wrapping her arms and legs along with soft tissue massages and a special lotion. Your doctor/clinic will tell you what they think is best for you to try. Alot will depend on how swollen or what stage your Lymphadema is at. I think there is 8 stages..but don't hold me to that.(read up on it). Once you have it, it's not curable, but very, very manageable. My aunt is 85 and she is doing good. Her lymphadema is in her arms and legs...(has had it 10 years +). Be sure to up-date after you go to the clinic once they decide what to do for it. It is very important not to break the skin or get any kind of an infection in the area you have the Lymphadema...wear a long sleeve shirt if you play with the puppy or throw a little blanket over that area. My aunt has cats and she is very careful to keep her arms and legs covered when the cats sit with her. I hope some of this helped...Love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    P.S.
I forgot to mention this Beth...the reason it's so important to not get scratched or wound the area affected with the lymphadema is because once you have a wound/scratch/bite, it takes for-EVER for it to heal. My aunt banged her ankle getting out of her car and broke the skin around the ankle bone. It took almost 2 years to get it healed. She had to see a foot doctor..take round after round of different antibiotics, and various topical prescription creames. Thats why your doctor said to be careful...healing a wound when you have lymphadema is really difficult. Ok...just thought I should share that with you since you said your puppy has such sharp little teeth...(be xtra careful).

    Thats so frustrating!
    Hi Leslie,
The same thing has happened to me more than once. It seems to happen if it takes a long period of time to write out a comment. Something you can do is to hi-light your comment before sending, go up to(edit/copy) and then when you send it and if it disappears, you can reply again to the person and just paste your post you saved. It sure keeps the frustration down and eliminates not having to write everything all over again. Just a little tip to help out when our posts suddenly disappear and get lost in cyber space.

    I hate that too
I will send you a private message with my email address.

I wouldn't mind it for most of you, but since comments stay here for years I don't want to post it openly.

    Thanks
