A fair explanation

I like this quote. It works for me...
That, upon the whole, we may conclude that the Christian religion not only was at first attended with miracles, but even at this day cannot be believed by any reasonable person without one. Mere reason is insufficient to convince us of its veracity: And whoever is moved by Faith to assent to it, is conscious of a continued miracle in his own person, which subverts all the principles of his understanding, and gives him a determination to believe what is most contrary to custom and experience.
David Hume (1711–1776), Scottish philosopher. Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding

I hesistated to answer. But, I just have to say...there is a difference in "Christian Religion" and "Christianity". Religion is something you do to "better yourself", "follow rules", "live within certain boudaries" et. "Christianity" is having a "PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP" with Jesus Christ. HUGE difference! IT's "BEING" instead of "DOING". It's deciding to follow the path God puts before us not because we "think we should" but because it's a truly awesome adventure and the only way to "WANT" to live. Not because we're forced to, but because we have been personally touched by the grace and love of a God who cares about us! True LOVE changes the human heart!

As for Christianity not being believed by any "reasonable" person...that "reasonable" person hasn't done their homework.

    That's all I'm gonna say:)

    Hi Sally
That is some deep thought; there is only one thing that makes a person a true Christian and that is Christ Likeness, Religion can be anything a person wants it to be.
