My father had bladder cancer in 1998. He had his bladder prostrate and urethra removed. Now he has blood in his urine. It started off pink in Sept and now it is dark. He had no pain or itchiness. His oncologist has ordered a CT scan. We are scared again!

    Wishing dad well
It seems that your dad has already had more than he can handle. Hopefully he will not have Kidney Cancer in addition to his other problems. If it does turn out to be Kidney Cancer and it is caught early generally there is a full recovery after surgery.

After I wrote the last post,
After I wrote the last post, my father received a letter from his doctor stating that he had no cancer cells to be found in his urine. The issue with the blood is still a mystery.

Go through with the CT test.
Blood in the urine could still be indicative of Kidney Cancer even without Cancer cells in the urine. If it were me I would still have the CT scan to determine one way or the other whether there is Kidney Cancer. Hopefully not.
