new cancer?

Oncologist orders an MRI due to new intense pelvic pain which shows uterine fibroid and right ovarian cysts which "were previously noted an had not changed." Better yet, the two previous scans report that I've had a hysterectomy and no ovaries are seen??? I never had a hysterectomy...who's reading these??? Two weeks later pain becomes so intense I have to call for an appt. with my GP.
Feels like my uterus is stuck in a contraction ... trying to abort this fibroid? Got a script for a muscle relaxer to see if it would relax that big muscle called a uterus. It actually worked and after several days the pain is back to tolerable. Visit with my GYN on Friday (who works at another facility and I thought he was getting copies of these reports, but he wasn't)...he states, and I know this is true, that I can't be growing fibroids. States, "If somethings in there, we have problems." Several hours later I have a trans-vaginal ultrasound. Yep, there's something growing in there...definitely not a fibroid and where the cyst was, now there is just a pocket of fluid. Apparently the intense pain was due to the cyst bursting.
Called Quality Control of the radiology dept. where the scans were taken/read. Woman on the other end of the line is pulling up my scans as we talk and taking notes of what I'm saying. She asks "Are you sure you didn't have a hysterectomy?" I think I'd be the first to know!! My big concern, was this growth in my uterus a year ago and never documented (cause they were saying I didn't have a uterus, but the recent MRI states they were there previously) and is it a new cancer or mets of cervical cancer? Supposed to hear from the head of radiology by end of work day Monday. I'm really looking forward to hearing him explain this!
Once again...sitting on the edge waiting to see which way the ball is going to bounce! No stress here!!!

    Thanks ladies. Great to have
Thanks ladies. Great to have someone out there who truly knows what I'm going through. To top everything off ... I had to have my best friend for the past 15 years put to sleep this am ... then come home and bury her. Wished I could have crawled right in there with her and held her forever. Steady rain throughout ... the skies shedding tears with me?

    So sorry
I am so sorry to hear about your recent troubles Becky. How can we trust in the radiology readings when you hear about a mess like this. You would think if a resident was doing the reading a senior person would sign off on it too-and your oncologist should be looking too I would think. Can you go to the radiology dept. on your next trip and have someone show you the scans from last year to current. I am also sorry about your pet dying. Too much stress going on now-we all wish you the best!!!!

    So sorry
    Becky,
I'm so sorry about your pet. That is such a hard thing under the best circumstances. I have 2 dogs and my dachshund suffered partial paralysis the week after my surgery. I just held him and cried. Thankfully, with the help of some great vets, he has recovered. Treating his health issues with loving kindness does something to ease my own. My other dog is a rescued mixed breed. Someone couldn't be bothered to wait until the shelter opened and left him tied to the doorknob. Taking care and giving unconditional love are some of the best things I do for my health.
I wish I could do or say something to ease your pain. Know that I am sending loving kindness to you as your tears fall. Your best friend was blessed to be with you. I truely believe we will see them again.

    Thank you all for your
Thank you all for your support. It's been an extra long 1.5 weeks. But....I got the final results of the tests last week and ... it's a fibroid. Shouldn't be, but it is...YES!!! If I shouldn't do it...I do and my body goes right along with my way of thinking. I do have so much to be grateful this year!!! And as much as it still hurts, at least my best friend is no longer in pain. R.I.P. Shadow!
Hope you all have a great holiday.
