“Life has meaning only in the struggle. Triumph or defeat is in the hands of the God. So let us celebrate the struggle!” Swami Sivananda quotes

Thought I'd share that with all of you.

"Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it. The meaning of life is whatever you ascribe it to be. Being alive is the meaning."
    ~Joseph Campbell
It enables us to determine what the meaning of our life is.
It's a unique experience for all of us. No two lives are the same.

    Good one...
I love his books-amazing person!.... If it wasn't for him during the Star Wars era, I doubt Lucas would have created such an amazing pc. work.

    Thank you for sharing.

    I do too
I enjoy seeing the comparisons there are between different religions and also how they so often relate to myths or other cultures. There are so many similarities between them. Often I find them more alike than different, they just may call their maker by different names.

I agree with you comment about Star Wars. I remember that Bill Moyers interviewed Campbell at Lucas's Star Wars Ranch for the Power of Myth series.

    The interview
I saw that interview, it was pretty impressive. Amazing-Lucas was so ahead of his time. Now I think Phil Jackson is the one to beat. Lord of the Rings was raw, it was at location so actors had to feel the moment, not computer generated. It gives the actors an edge.

I love movies, in so many ways they can represent "times" in your life, your struggles. Another good one is beautiful mind, compelling story.

    Be safe.
