    Wooooohooo!
Doesn't it feel great knowing you don't have to get zapped anymore! Hoping you will have a good recovery and that you don't experience too much of a peak in the next couple weeks. It's a great relief to be done. :)

    Atta Girl!
Good job! Well done! (Yes, we were all pretty "well done" by the time we got to the end of the rads.) Now, let the healing begin.

    Yay
Good to know the radiation's done it's job, and you don't have to keep doing something that's hurting your body. Hope your recovery is quick and uneventful.

Congratulations Grace. I am glad you cross the finish line. I am right behind you. I had a small setback, due to the radiaiton burns on my neck. I was scheduled to finsh last Tuesday, but they made me sit out 7 days. I went back yesterday and now will finsh next Monday. Good luck on your recovery.

    Congratulations!!
Wonderful news!! I'm one year post treatment and can remember my last day as if it were yesterday. It's such a wonderful feeling to complete treatment and move on to the recovery stage.

Give yourself time to heal and don't try to rush things like most of us have done :)

    Stay well and stay strong,
    Glenna

    The Bell
Going on four years now since I rang the bell. Time moves on and things get better. I remember the day I rang the bell I felt so bad I really did not want to be in the world. I actually took two radiation treatments my final day because it was a Friday and I did not want to go into another week. No signs of cancer now and I have another check-up in December which will be almost exactly four years from the time I was diagnosed. Still a lot of bad days due to serious side effects I have suffered from the radiation but I am alive and God has graciously given me these four years to spend with my family. Take every day a day at a time. Congratulations on finishing your treatment and God Bless.

    Last Treatment
Congratulations! Doesn't it feel great to know that this part is behind you now? I am about 8 weeks post rads and I can certainly remember how great that day felt. Best of luck on the healing process.

    Hooray for Grace!
So, did you actually ring a bell?
I was treated at Johns Hopkins, where they had a bell that people who had just taken their last treatment would ring and everyone else would applaud.
I waited six weeks-plus to ring that bell, and when I finally finished it felt good to whack the heck out of it.
    Congratulations!

    Funny you ask that question
Our radiology dept doesn't have a bell, although I was told this issue has been sitting in "committee" for about three years now. There is a bell on the 7th floor of the hospital that we were allowed to use to celebrate. So, yes, I rang the bell but not in the right department.

If I find the right bell at some point in time, I get the feeling that the radiology department might get a donation. It's a necessity.
