    Lex,
I was sitting here at my computer, thinking happy thoughts and I guess the pixie dust must be working because next thing you know I was flying all over the room. I have always loved Tink. I have a jammie top that reads Tink, Not your ordinary pixie. It is so old and worn but I still wear it. I think Tinkerbell Lex is great and I love that you are so busy living life and loving it. Just drop in every so often so I can get a Tink fix and so we can know what's up with you. One thing I know that I love and I am sure any newbies do to is to hear how there is life after cancer and a good happy one at that. I understand that cyber cigs are okay although I don't care for them much, too strong. LOL

    YEH! It worked! I thought
YEH! It worked! I thought the pixie dust might be too old, but, guess not! I will give you your Tink fix whenever you need it Stef!

And, cyber cigs aren't bad, not bad at all. LOL

AMEN! I know exactly what messages you are talking about. I don't think anyone meant to be offensive it just got to the point that posts were going back and forth and it started to become very personal. Those who were involved know who they are. I just sat back and kept reading them without comment. Yes, it is time to take a deep breath and remember why we're all here and that this is a place where we go for information, encouragement and yes, sometimes to vent. BUT, not at each other! Wishing all a happy weekend.

    Right on, Megan
The world we've all been forced into (thanks a lot, BC) is nasty enough without adding unwanted hostility.

Too many people running out of sleep, out of money, out of time, out of hope - who have done nothing whatsoever to deserve all this suffering. It's understandable that tempers will flare up. Cancer eff1ng sukks.

But it's still best, and often bravest, to walk away from something that offends you here. Because in the end, regardless of race, religion (or the absence thereof), political beliefs, sexual orientation, nationality, financial status, favorite soft drink, education, taste in music, gender, fashion sense, we are all in this fight together!

I agree with you Megan and
I agree with you Megan and thanks for saying it the best, just let it go. Sometimes I think the anger that "might" come out on the board is part of the anger that is hidden deep inside someone which may have nothing even to do with the subject. Bc is a difficult journey with many turns and bends in the road. And, I think it is only normal and human to be angry at the fact that we have it and that we have to fight so hard to save our lives. Our minds and bodies are put in overdrive and we are expected by so many to just keep that smile on and say "I'm great". So, at times, if something might light a spark under our rear, we might carry it too far as the anger and the struggle to get as far as we have has not been easy.

Let's all try to remember that, we are all in this together, sisters united in a way that no one else, unless they been on this journey, can possibly understand.

The bond between us can not be broken!

    So, have a great weekend!

    Love all of you,

    Marcia,
That is a great idea and one which I will use before I put my foot (fork) in my mouth. I think that some levity is definitely needed and this was great. Oh, and I love the Got Milk. Did you say this was a tee shirt? If so, where did you get it?

I stayed clear of the posts.
I stayed clear of the posts. Thanks Megan for this. I think we will all bond and be even closer than ever now.

I dislike caps, unless they are for just a few words to drive a point home. I remember someone once said their caps off key was gone. LOL Now, that was funny.

Not sure if this is for me.
I'm not sure if this post was meant for me, but I usually only use caps for title and I make new posts so that I don't drag out old ones. I apologize for upsetting anyone with my caps and if this was not for me, please disregard.

It breaks my heart that you felt you needed to appologize to us. With everything you are dealing with, using a few caps would be so appropriate so please, please don't worry. You are in our prayers and my heart aches so much for you, your wife, and your children.

    Dear Sisters,
I certainly never meant to spark such a horrible thing as what happened when I answered Lighthouse. I am truly horrified by it all. I thought if I quit responding it would stop but it just kept going and going. I would like to apologize to Lighthouse and to everyone. I want to thank those of you who came to my defense.

I did not see the other posts everyone is talking about and I'm glad.

But I am sick at heart to think so many of you are leaving the board because of me. You have been together for so long and this board can be such a salvation. So New Flower please don't leave. I will do the leaving, I have loved you all and you have helped me thru many difficult times. While I won't be posting any longer, I will drop by and lurk occasionally and be praying for you all and hoping to read good news about so many of you with such a difficult journey ahead.

Again, I'm very sorry for all of the upset and pain I have caused so many.

    Dear Skeezie, you do not
Dear Skeezie, you do not have to leave no no no...several of us have said enough but the posts just keep coming. This other post that has everyone so riled up was mine...this is the last time I am going to post about it or explain about it...not that it matters...people just want to keep asking and I guess they are not reading what I am writing...
after the insurance posting, I noticed that a number of us suddenly were getting flagged...no matter what we posted or where...have a good day types of posts were being flagged...i put up a post that said serious problem on the board...well people got on their high horse because I used caps and they were offended...then people decided I was trying to keep the fires going from the insurance post, which I was not, I was simply trying to give folks a head up that there may be an unknown problem causing people to be flagged no matter what...if people remember I simply asked someone to be a little kinder and more compassionate...so why people felt I was starting more trouble is beyond me...so up goes the post fro megan and 40 odd people have since gotten their feathers all afluff over use of caps in a post and saying people are causing trouble when they are in fact trying to get help to solve it...so this mysterious offensive post which was neither was deleted by me since everyone even people who hadn't seen it were so upset...i have explained this before...i will not do it again...
I have thought about leaving and tried to start over, but it really bothers me watching so many jumping in the opinion pool when you yourdelf state you have no clue what it is about...it is in fact about nothing...and as to caps being so offensive then all 40 plus of you should address that to the people who try to cheer you up with jokes, and recipe sharing, etc,,,,and in closing I have to say I am not offended by caps, I am offended by poverty, and homeless families with children, and people going without food, and our sisters going without dx or tx because of insurance problems...that is what I think offensive...and as far as jumping onn the bandwagon it is no better than not voting but having a bowl full of mush to say about what is wrong and what you don't like...i told you before that people would leave....i don't think anyone should have to leave...but if what this board has become is grammar police and gossip sheep, then this board has truly lost it's way...i know you all as beautiful caring people...we all have a right to be here, we all have a right to feel pain or happy, boredom or mad...we don't need to become pompous judgemental individuals...i really am tired of megans post, I am tired of the insurance post, I am tired of people having to explain themselves...this is a free speech country...i am tired of people not feeling welcome anymore, I am tired of people leaving...just stop reaaly enough kaput fini

I think we all just need to breatheeeeeeeeeeee! I am hoping that by your post Megan and the posts that supported you that the end is here. I also never commented on the post that went too far. It was like my dog is bigger than your dog child game.

I admit, I hate caps too unless they are in a post where someone wants to make a point with that word. Most only use caps in the title to a thread once, not all of the time. It is like yelling or trying to really get attention.

Let's just use the site for what it is meant for and be grown up about it. I think 99% of the time it is.

So, let's all have a huge cyber hug and continue in our fight with the beast.

p.s. do you think tinkerbell will ever get through that keyhole? LOL

    Lex
I think it's interesting that tinkerbell got her boobs through that keyhole, but the butt just won't go. Looks like she needs a 'buttectomy'.

I don't see that anyone is
I don't see that anyone is leaving the board. Some may have said that, and, if they do, I am sure they will be back. They may just need a little time away, as so many do for various reasons. I know some leave when the news gets very disheartening as they get scared, or it hurts so much or maybe they just get too busy. I always like it when someone comes on who hasn't been on for a long time and says I am too busy living and just haven't had the time. That is great!

And, don't fault Megan or the others for this post. I think it is great. I saw your post too Violet and thought it was keeping the fire burning too. So, I agreed with Megan, just stop talking about it and let that topic die. She never named you, so, it could have been anyone.

And, she and anyone else has a right to say they don't like caps in every post that someone might put up. They, as I, are entitled to our opinion. We have a few, not lately, but posters that used to type everything in caps and you couldn't even read it, and, eventually people kept asking to please stop tying in caps. Nothing wrong with that.

I think some just need to pull the reins in and stop taking everything so seriously and so to heart.

The original post got out of hand and went beyond talking about just how crappy some insurance companies are. It was never meant for anything else.

So, just chill out and stop trying to defend yourself. It is a free country. Do what you want.

I have been on this board since 2009 and have loved everyone. We have only had a few bad apples, and, they left permanently. I have gotten more information from here than from my doctors, which I truly thank everyone for.

Let's just get along and use the board for what it is intended.

holy internet-venting Batman! I had no idea what this was about because I've been so b usy feeling good & doing things with my fmaily that I haven't been online much the past few days! Thanks for posting this Megan, I'm sure the majority of us agree with just putting an end to all of that! And I'll follow the advice of Thumper's mom "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" :)
    Peace & HUGS,

    No clue
I think I missed something too. But I have to ask this, how can you tell if a comment is flagged? I don't think I know how to flag one either but I don't really need to, I am just showing how much I know about computers :o) God Bless

    Hello sisters (and Aortus!)
I've been taking a break from the boards again, but a funny thing happened. I opened my email this morning and this site was up. I must have hit a "bookmark" button or something, but I took it as a sign. Anyway, I don't know what the latest controversy is about (someone who writes in all caps? ), but I wanted to wish all my sisters well. I see many familiar names and I'm glad. I am thinking about you all. I remember a few "krfuffles" that have happened over the last few years. Most of us survive them and continue to support each other. Love to all.

    Thanks for thinking of me!
I'm doing really well. With hope, I'll be celebrating 2 years NED next month. I still get anxious sometimes, but my life is good. Simon and I are saving for a country house somewhere near the beautiful Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. I have rural dreams of owning chickens and having a huge garden. I wonder what I'm getting myself into. LOL. Anyway, I hope you're doing well, too. It pains me to hear about recurrences. It's something that's always on my mind, both for myself and my sisters here. It's part of long-term survivorship and pretty crappy, but something you get used to, I guess. Still figuring things out, myself. Love to you all.

Wow! Did I miss out on something juicy!

I don't log on that often(fatigued from rads) but I feel like maybe I should have as there seems to be a huge distraction from the breast cancer crisis we are all going through.

Honestly whatever it was I hope we can all take a deep a breath and step back a little to move into a place of compassion and tolerance once again. Actually the later seems to be happening. It is life, there is bound to be conflict once in a while.

    Mimi,
    Are you still doing

    Mimi,
Are you still doing your film school stuff? If so, tell us about it. A country house seems so lovely. A nice place with chickens and a big garden with lots of healthy fresh food. I think it would be just divine. I think the anxiety is very normal especially as anniversary dates draw near. And because you are so young, the anxiety is probably increased. But I pray that NED is with you year after year after year.
