My biopsy came back positive

The initial result from during the biopsy were all negative, so they did one last biopsy and today I get the call that it came back positive. It really rocked me, I have been flying because I thought there was a good chance that I had beat it. The doc tells me to look at it in a good sense that they found it and if they had not it would have been allowed to grow un noticed for two months until my next PET. So sometime in the near future I have to go in for a MRI scan to pinpoint the exact location and then decide surgery or chemo or surgery and then chemo. Really took the wind out of my sails.

    that stinks
Brad, I am so sorry for this news. I know that you know it is good to know about it soon. Right now you have the most options and the best chance to win. But it still stinks. We all grieve with you. Bad news today; I look forward to the good news tomorrow.

    Brad,
Sorry for the news. Sounds as if your doc has a positive attitude though and that's always a good thing. Hang in there Man!

    Yes, it does
    Brad,

Yes, the wind does get knocked out of your sails for sure. After I went through all the surgery and recovery, I thought I was good to go. One year later, another cancer popped up. Took the wind out my sails as well. Took a day for me to get my head back on straight and focus once again.

You have done this once, you can do it again. We have to take a page from Hondo, he has done this 3 times already. He is like the energizer bunny, just keeps going.

My Best to You and Everyone Here

    Thoughts & Prayers
Same thoughts and prayers....try to stay strong and positive... Like the MD said, they did catch it early. So he's proactive and kicking it's butt in the early stages is always a good thing.

    KEEP PUSHING ON
Like the old REO Speedwagon song says, "KEEP PUSHIN ON" I am sorry to hear this. Keep reading the stories of people who have gone through this more than once and are still ok.

    BEST!!

    Know The Feelings
You are going through. My husband is going through a recurrence also and is scheduled for surgery 9/15.

It does take a few days to "digest" the news, as we thought surely this would never happen to us - thought we were cured! But it was not to be, so we move forward. We pray, we cry and we just put one foot in front of the other and get through each day.

Hang in there, as usual, these waiting times are the hardest I think. ((Hugs and understanding from Texas))

    Bleep!
Crud - sorry you have to enter round two. Glad docs were persistent with the testing, and you've discovered it now instead of later. This just means you haven't beaten it - YET. Asking for it to happen for you. Do well.

    Hi Brad
Don't let it get you down, I have been there three times and I am still here to tell the story and better yet my last PET came back clean.

Where there is faith there is hope, you will be in the work shop just a little longer
