    Hi Gravey

Good to see you back again, as far as I know all you need to do to remove the PEG, it to just lay back smile and let the Doc slide it out.

    Take care my friend

    Port removal
Talking Medi-port removal, not peg tube. It's done on an out patient basis, and I'm not sure about yours, but he made an out cut under the in cut for removal.....put in 5 stitches....and now I have an = sign on my chest just under my left shoulder. Stitches "suppose to dissolve", but it's been almost four weeks and they are still there. Guess I better go check on that also.

    Yes
Great to hear, Gravey. Still got mine, so cannot advise. Might be a lot simpler than the PEG, if stitches seal things back up- rather than the body having to do it over the course of time. Mine's a Power Port, and I've been lead to think will be an outpatient Op., though could be wrong. Know it won't take much time to actually get done- though is more complicated and will take more time than the PEG, which was done in the Surgeon's office.
    Yes- excellent news.

Thank you all so much guys,
Thank you all so much guys, every day Im feeling a little better, and I actually have most of my saliva back now as well, not carrying the water bottle at all anymore, although I should probably keep carrying it just for good health reasons. Just night times are when the dry mouth strikes mostly at this point though, so as a necessity, I dont really need bottle.
As for the port removal, my shoulder is pretty sore today, he just basically shot in three shots of novacaine around the port, layed back for 15 minutes whilst the numbing agent took affect, then came the cutting, just some slight tugging really, out comes the port, a little pressure felt, but mostly okay, THEN the stitches, these kinda sucked. The novacaine didnt really deaden the complete area, so as he was putting in the stitches that were towards the end of the incision, it started to get that stinging pain, all of you who have had stitches know that pain. He did offer more novacaine but at that point, I just wanted to get it done with, so I opted just to have him finish. Overall wasnt so bad, just cant wash the area now for a couple of days, he said leave my bandage covering it on for two days, then I can shower it. There is some seepage happening, nothing major. Just like I said, kinda sore. Thats pretty much it though guys, I have one more CT coming up in the 3 month area from now, then they'll start spacing those out as well.

Thanks for all your support, I couldnt have made it this far and still had as much of my sanity as I do now without the help from you guys, and I will continue to try and lend a helping or kind word where ever I can.

    Thanks again guys,
