What does the stages represent? Does stage 1A means that the cancer has not spread? Please explain. June

Hi June I am Stage 1A but
Hi June I am Stage 1A but Grade 2. Stage 1A Means that the cancer has not spread any place that it stayed in the urtaus there is 4 grades im grade 2 and that means the cancer is stronger so i need radition how ever im in remison,

Stage 2 and 3 means the cancer yes has spreed and stage 4 ( is what my husbands aunt had ) who past away it spreed in to her spine, and brest and all over and then hit her brain thats what killed her as chemo no longer worked for her.

so why stage 1A does mean the cancer has not spreed and your in remison of cancer once the doctor has removed all things you may have to still have some treatment and u may not it depends on your grade

how ever with all cancer you still have a small chance that it can come back there is always that fear of course and alot of woman report when it came back it came in to the breast :(

im not good with big medical words so i hope this helped you some what but u can always google and do research as i have and i also go by what the doctors told me

    Stages
My understanding, as per my medical/chemo oncologist and my gyn oncologist, is that the staging for uterince papillary serous carcinoma is quite difficult. In my case, my tumor did not go beyond the endometrial lining, the cancer was NOT found in any of the other gyn organs or lymph nodes. However, two "dots" of these cells were found on my colon and removed during surgery. This finding is what caused a problem in the staging. It is the UPSC cell that is very aggressive and, therefore, must be treated very aggressively. If they didn't see those "dots" on my colon, the staging would have fall into a much lower category. So, I guess what I'm trying to say, is that the kind of cancer cell seems to impact heavily on the staging process.

    Peace and hope,

    JJ
