today my mom had a period...she had a full hysterectomy 30 years ago she hasnt had a period since....today she had something that looks like a period and smells like it....anyone experienced this with brain cancer? could it be the temodar..she also started taking procrit for her red blood cells...wondering if that causes vaginal bleeding...

    Probably not the brain cancer
Irene, I would have to say your mom is not having a period and that she needs to be looked at - it could be the Temodar, and they say you should report any unusual bleeding. In any case, she should see a doctor about this.

My best to you and your mom

    thnx.....
thnx for the replies....i was told by a nurse to take her into the ER..but they said it was just a vaginal infection...but i think something else caused it...i didnt think a vaginal infection caused bleeding...they wouldnt take a blood test which i think would tell alot..i think the bleeding has something to with her blood count...well she is going to have a cbc count in a few days so hopefully we'll know if anythng is wrong by that...its so difficult when someone has brain cancer..when things happen you dont know if its serious or not...its hard to diagnose....
