Anyone heard from Chef? Hope I just missed his posts. I've been worried about him.

    No new posts...
I haven't seen any new postings from him in a few days. I am worried about him also but I do remember him saying that he doesn't have easy access to the internet at the new place he was staying with his kids. Hopefully lack of internet access is the only reason we haven't heard from him and he will post again soon to say things are going better.

    ChefDaddy is Posting
    Team,
Mike is posting. It looks to me, like the problem is the way the site displays the posts.
When I go into his Diagnosed Last Monday thread by clicking on the "new" side, I am taken to the first page of posts. THere are so many posts in his thread that they continue on a second page. Problem is, no posts are marked as "new" when you go from page 1 to 2. So even though you click on "new", you're not being taken to the new posts, just to page 1. Scroll to the bottom, and go to the second page.

    Hello my friends!
    I only

    Hello my friends!

I only have internet when my brother brings his laptop over, as I lost my WiFi software disk to make it work on my computer. I'm supposed to be getting internet installed in a couple days.

I really miss talking to you, I get so much strength and support from all of you.

I don't remember if I posted an update regarding the Erbitux reactions, but it turned out to be the Benadryl that was causing the bad reactions. I told them repeatedly that Benadryl was listed on the unsafe drug list for Porphryia. The Erbitux on the other hand has made all my fingertips crack open and bleed everyday. I had to stop wearing jeans and started wearing sweats, as I can't unzip or button my pants, too painful! I have to put vitamin E on my fingers and then wear rubber gloves all night. It has also made my eyesight very blurred.

The throat and mouth resembles my ex-wife's cooking, burned to a crisp! I can no longer swallow food, I tried everything liquid but if there is the slightest spice it makes the burning unbearable. Water is barely tolerable. I force myself to swallow the flavored tofu desserts but the acidity from the fruit flavoring starts burning quickly.

The doctor has repeatedly told me to use my jaw muscles but I have no teeth now so chewing gum is not an option, I still have bone chips working their way out of my gums thanks to the high quality work done by the Oral Stooges that removed them and swallowing is no longer an option. I work my jaw open and shut when at home (makes me look like an overgrown guppy)lol.

I just had my 14th radiation treatment yesterday, still not half way there....sigh!

The kids like their new home, though it is only a two bedroom. I'm sleeping in the living room. The kids feel safer here. My son is now being referred to a Psychologist that specializes in child trauma. I pray there is a breakthrough for him.
This latest action of his mother moving next door and forcing him to live in a small hotel room for two weeks and eventually being relocated has brought out a significant amount of hatred towards her. My son had made several friends at local stores, like the video gaming
place he liked to look at Play Station games. The staff people would always spend time with him and bring things to him as he was in a wheelchair. Very nice and caring people. He's very upset, as he knows he won't see them again because of his mother.

As I've mentioned before, court should be very interesting.

I do appreciate your friendship, it is priceless to me. I have no close friends here in Portland and so dealing with these treatments and everything else that has transpired without you and your never-ending support would have been horrible.

    Thank you all!

    God Bless

    that's why
Dear Mike, that is why we are here and we call you friend, BECAUSE WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! I cannot believe all you have to deal with, you must be a body builder, because you are the strongest person I know. I pray for you and your family and I hope God always takes care of you. If I can ever do anythiing for you, please just ask. I am an administrative assistant so I can type, should you ever need a letter typed or something. Please tell your children I said hello. May God be with you all.
    Sincerely,
    Debbie

    Hi Debbie,
    It's so good to

    Hi Debbie,

It's so good to hear from you again. How are you feeling and doing?

I'm certainly not a body builder lol, my daughter has more muscles than me now. I've lost so much weight, so quickly, that I'm very weak. I always feel like I'm in that first achy stage of feeling like the flu is coming on, especially being cold all the time.

I thank you Debbie for your kind words, your prayers and your offer to help, you are a sweetheart!

    God Bless

    Mike, I was only teasing
Mike, I was only teasing about the body bld b/c u have so much going all and you just keep on going, kinda like the energizer bunny...lol. I am doing well altho like you, I'm weak. I've lost about 70 bls and it doesn't look good since I lost it so fast. Oh, well, at least I'm alive. I feel the way you do but I'm worried that it may be permanent. After sitting for awhile, it takes me 2 or 3 minutes to straighten up and walk. Or, mayber its b/c I'm getting old....lol. I'm glad to see you're back on. Take care and know that you are always in my prayers and thots.

    Hi GreenD,

I didn't thank you for your concern for me, it meant a lot when I saw the thread you started.

I need to start a new thread since there are so many posts and now they have moved on to a second page, but I'm not sure how to do that.

    Thank you for your friendship
