Will send one later today Slickster
Oh man when I saw your post under the headings, since I haven't seen you post in awhile, I thought that Holly had gone. I know it's close but still the final news will be hard no matter what. I will send you a letter later today as I have some financial garbage to deal with on the phone this morning. Hope all is well with you Slick. Hugs, Blue

    Hey Michelle,
How have you been doing? How are the grief classes going? Hope you are still going to them and you are learning how to cope with the help of others who have been where you are. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings, Bluerose

I tried the grief classes twice and decided not to return because all of the people there had lost loved ones years ago. It seemed more like a social gathering and getting support I didn't think would be possible. When I went to see my doctor I had a total meltdown and now he wants me to see a shrink. I haven't been able to get myself to make that call. I just don't know what to do at this point. Thanks for caring :)

    Oh no
Michelle I understand where you are coming from with leaving the class, feeling the odd woman out with them all knowing each other and being together for so long but I really don't think you saw it the right way. First of all you should go to the leader of the group on his/her own and tell him you need guidance with new loss and that you feel left out with all being so far along in their grief. The counsellor should be aware that new members are new losses no doubt but if no one tells him/her he might lose track. I still think this is the best place for you right now and you know if you see that so many members have stayed so long past their initial grief that shows you how important this group could become to you, make new lasting friends to help you with your loss and support you and you them.

Seriously I would go back and talk to the counsellor and see if that makes any difference. He owes it to the group to address all stages of grief. Now having said that of course some counsellors are better than others but just try and let him/her know and give them another chance. You could also see a shrink too but for comrodery I feel strongly you need that group too.

Do think about it and do consider the shrink too although would it be possible to see a psychologist instead? Let me know. Blessings, Bluerose
