Layne's biopsy

Always one to seek attention, Layne's biopsy, a one hour procedure usually, took three hours. Seems the nodes were so small and so oddly located it took a long time. The doc said preliminary report is no cancer, but the more extensive testing won't be in until Tues. Then of course, seeking further attention, his lung slighly collapsed. So, the doc had us go downstairs, Layne got a haircut and a shave (free at volunteer services) and then we had lunch. New xray showed no problem.

Tues, the oncologist and our blood tests.

    thank you thank you
his total biopsy came in, no cancer in the higher nodes the surgeon checked. Yippeee. And we are set and ready to go on Thursday. He will be up and walking Thurs night...which is huge, seeing as he is having and IL.

His doc is going to triple check everything, looking at all the organs he can see, pulling every node he can pull. We are so thrilled to have such a good team on our side. And we are thrilled that the progress has been so great--and we have felt our hands were held the entire way. That is a huge thing. If there is one thing I would say it is to get a good medical team--one you really trust and believe in. Because you need to feel you are cared for and in the best hands. You have enough to worry about in the fight without worrying "maybe I should change docs." We changed three times in the beginning. Twice in Vegas then went out of state. You have to know they are fighting for you and with you.

Thanks for all the well wishes. We really appreciate the prayers.
