We were given a good report and the DR said my husband did very well during the treatment and she was VERY proud of him. She said treatment was 100% responsive and no tumor or cancer left. So that also means no surgery!!! Whew, now I can breathe. I am so proud of him too. He really pushed himself hard and has already gain 7 pounds since the end of treatment. He pushed hard for them to take out tube and they did two weeks after treatment ended and I think that helped him mentally. He was able to take food/ensure, liquids by mouth throughout his treatment. He is still eating pretty picky, but makes himself get in enough calories and is still drinking at least three ensure a day. The treatment is doable! You will survive. Thank you all for the support! Donna

wonderful news for both of you. take a deeop breath. Had his spread to the lymph nodes and they fell that no surgery is necessary because its completely gone? I'm right behind him and may need a neck disection and am gathering insight.

    No surgery
Correct. It had spread to two lymph nodes but they said there was not need for surgery, so we are fine with that. They have been right on the mark so far. Also, we are only five weeks out of radiation treamtent and seven weeks out of chemo. We have another follow up scan for December but I feel really good about it.
