Well we got moved to a room today after 14 days in ICU, Jeff is doing very well, he still has the NG tube and the feeding tube, we took the swallowing test and no leakage which is great news, but we are still too swollen to tolerate food so we are on meds for that first probably in the next few days we might be able too.

God has blessed us well, for someone so critically ill he has come so far. I certainly had to put pull up "MY GIRL PANTIES" these last 2 weeks, to get through some very tough times down this road.

I just know I don't want to walk this road again, and for anyone else its not a easy road, but everything the surgeon has told me is what he has went through.

Please know "STRESS" is so unbelievable going through this, for the ones facing this, please know I am with you all steps of the way.

GOD BLESS

MOE

    GREAT NEWS
    HEY,

LORI I'VE BEEN WAITING TO HERE FROM YOU ALL DAY!!!! I'm so glad that things are doing better for Jeff and you sound so much better. I can't imagin the Stress that you've been under these last weeks, the stress from just being a caregiver is hard enough.

I hope that when it comes time for us that I can be as strong as you have been.
    GOD only knows!!!!

    Thinking of you often
    Praying for you always

Thanks bill, yes I think we are progressing weather well, I just sent you an e-mail from me on someone that wants to talk to someone by phone, hope you can help, someone else on site has suggested you also. I can only hope we return to normal by the holidays, we are not hurring the feeding tube, but like i said previously hopefully it will be gone soon, its not as bad as I thought, we are gradually working on getting rid of the NG tube, so that will be nice too. Yes I have put on my "BIG GIRL PANTIES" several times in the last 14 days, but I made it.

I will continue you talking to me and getting me through the rest of these days to follow

    Thanks again
    Lori aka MOE

ps, I think we have another one getting ready for surgery soon too.

    Hi William

I just wanted to let you know that by reading what you've gone through prepares me for what
Al & I will hopefully go through in a few months. Thankfully we have the same Dr's and he
will have the mim. envasive lapro surgery. We start chemo back up tomarrow since Dr. Gibson gave
him a couple weeks off, he was getting pretty wiped out.

I know your not a Dr., but you do have alot of insight into what we are about to go through
Al has stage IV with mets only in the lymph nodes of his thorax which is actually good.

Dr. Luketich was so excited to tell me that he was a candidate for surgery!!! He had a bad
day that day and had to give alot of people not so good news, so when only after 2 hrs of
exploration and putting in his port he called me up the meet him I thought here goes no
surgery but I was wrong. I've never been so happy to be wrong in my life.

Anyway I'm glad you tell it like it is, because that is like it is.

    Thank,
    GOD BE WITH YOU

    Great!!!
This is great news!!!! I really pray this will be the same news for my dad in a few more weeks!!!! My dad is in the local hospital right now. He's pretty sick!! As of right now, 1 Dr. is saying he has an intestinal blockage. So, he's stuck there for a few days. His chemo has been cancelled with Dr. Gibson for this week. They were to leave tomorrow. We are so upset about this set back. Surprisingly enough my dad is in good spirits. I'm upset seeing him hooked up to the tube that is pumping all the bile from his stomach. I'll be going back to the hospital in about an hour. But, anyway, I'm so happy to hear your news!!! Oh, by the way, Dr. Luketich is in China right now. I'm not sure if it's vacation or for training!!! Chat with you soon.

    SETBACK HUH
    ERICA,
I hope you are doing okay as I write this, I am sorry to hear your dad is in the hosptial but if his spirits are up that is good sign, that thing that is emptying his stomach is called a NG tube and its gross, Don't be upset because of that, he needs that to get through surgery, It is scary but in the end thats what he needs, like I said this surgery is not easy but sounds like your dad is having the surgery like WILLIAM66 had we had the harder surgery, I hope your dad does good. Ericka, its a hard road I will say that, but you can do this and their is nothing wrong to cry I did I jut didn't let him see me, I know you can do this remember my saying and read my post: "PUT YOUR GIRLS PANTIES ON" and keep strong, if I can help please don't hestitate to write me I am here to help you. Just remember I have been there and done that.

    Good luck

    Thanks Moe!!!
    We had another

    Thanks Moe!!!

We had another set back. He was doing good yesterday, but today, he's in a lot of pain. They have uped his morphine doses. The Dr. wants him to get up and walk around, but he's just too tired. I was hoping he would be leaving the hospital tomorrow, but it's not looking so good!! I think he's lost some of his positive attitude right now. When/if he does have surgery it will be with Dr. Lukeitch, the same Dr. as William. He and his wife have been wonderful to have as friends!!! I'll update about my dad again tomorrow. I just want him to feel a little stronger so they can travel back to PA. for his chemo!!!
